Locally Held Funds

The Treasurer’s Office administers several public funds held outside the State Treasury. The General Assembly established these funds for specific purposes defined by statute.

The monthly holding reports available here are prepared solely to comply with the Accountability for the Investment of Public Funds Act (Public Act 93-0499) and are not intended to be used for any other purpose. The figures are unaudited and do not conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

Treasurer Frerichs is committed to operating an open and transparent office. Archived financial documents are available to the public at no cost.

To request an earlier version of a financial report listed on this webpage, call 217-524-6172 or email DeborahMiller@illinoistreasurer.gov. In most cases, staff can send the report by email without a formal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
