The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office offers free professional development to help teachers and school districts bring financial literacy standards into the classroom with confidence. Training can be tailored to your needs and scheduled for the amount of time that works best for you, from a single class period to a half-day institute. Longer sessions may also give teachers the opportunity to earn CPDUs.

Each session from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office is customized for your classroom, school, or district. We explore how inquiry-based learning can support financial literacy instruction across a range of topics, and we share sample lesson plans and practical strategies educators can use right away.
