Open a New ePAY Account for Your Public Entity

Illinois local governments use ePAY to accept payments quickly and securely through online and other digital payment channels. The program gives municipalities, counties, and other public agencies customized options for accepting electronic payments, making it easier for residents to pay fees anytime, day or night.

Sign up for ePAY, the Illinois State Treasurer’s electronic payment program for eligible public agencies. Under 15 ILCS 505/17, state agencies, counties, municipalities, and other units of local government may participate in the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer’s Electronic Payment Services Program.

Program Terms & Conditions

As part of enrollment, the Principal must review and sign the program agreements. The Principal is the individual authorized by the Public Agency or by statutory authority to execute contractual agreements on the Public Agency’s behalf. Review the ePAY Agreement.
