Support Illinois Communities Through Time Deposits

The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for investing state and local taxpayer dollars. Through the Community Development Linked Deposit and Access to Capital programs, the Treasurer’s Office places funds through time deposits in Approved Program Depositories, including banks and credit unions across Illinois. Safety and Soundness Review

As part of the approval process, the Treasurer’s Office will conduct a safety and soundness review of your institution.

How to Participate

To participate in the Community Development Linked Deposit and Access to Capital programs and become an Approved Program Depository, you must choose from one of the options listed below.

Application Options

Choose the option that best fits your institution:

  1. Financial Institution aggregate total deposits greater than $250,000 with securities pledged and any inactive Financial Institutions, defined as not participating in any Treasurer Office programs for more than two years: Total Deposits Greater than $250K with Securities Pledged
  2. Financial Institution with aggregate total deposits greater than $250,000 pledging a Federal Loan Letter of Credit: Total Deposits Greater than $250K Pledging a Letter of Credit
  3. Financial Institution aggregate total less than $250,000: Total Deposits Less than $250K

A representative from the Treasurer’s Office will contact you once your forms have been received and reviewed. Once approved, your institution may participate in both Community Development Linked Deposit and Access to Capital programs.
