If you received an unexpected unclaimed property check from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office, it may be from Enhanced Money Match. This program verifies ownership of certain unclaimed funds and mails checks directly to eligible owners. Unsure about a letter or check you may have received? Verify it by calling the Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division at 217-785-6998. Learn how Enhanced Money Match works and how to verify your check.

IL ABLE helps you save and invest for disability related expenses.
Living with a disability can mean paying for things such as housing, accessible devices, transportation, health care, and everyday living costs. IL ABLE is available to eligible individuals with disabilities who developed their disability before age 46. As of March 31, 2026, nearly 9,000 IL ABLE accounts had been opened, helping people set money aside for their needs and greater independence. Illinois residents who contribute to an IL ABLE Account may also be eligible for certain Illinois tax benefits. Working with a financial planner? My Illinois Savings for workers
Want an easy way to save for retirement? My Illinois Savings lets eligible Illinois workers save through payroll deductions, and the account stays with you when you change jobs. You can choose how much to save, change your investment option, or opt out. Self-employed individuals can also sign up on their own. Explore My Illinois Savings for savers.

The Illinois Personal Finance Challenge gives high school students a chance to apply what they know about saving, spending, and financial decisions. Kids, put your photography skills to the test

The Illinois State Treasurer’s Cream of the Crop Photo Contest invites Illinois students ages 8 to 18 to capture the people, places and scenes that make our state’s agriculture special. From farms and livestock to farmers’ markets and rural landscapes, there is plenty to photograph. Encourage your child to explore their community and enter an original photo when the next contest opens. Winners in three age groups receive Bright Start 529 college savings scholarships. For 44 years, Ag Invest from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office has helped Illinois farmers, agribusinesses, and agricultural professionals access affordable financing through participating banks and financial institutions. See a list of participating lenders.
